Very recently, major changes have come to the Nigerian film industry: transnational and national corporations have created a formal sector of media production and distribution that coexists side by side with the original “Nollywood” structures that were based in the informal economy. We need to think through the consequences of these changes for the paradigms through which we understand Nigerian filmmaking
